Jordan Islamic Bank for Finance and Investment was established (as a public shareholding limited company) in 1978 to carry out all kinds of banking, financing and investment business operations in compliance with the glorious Islamic Sharia’ and in accordance with the provisions of Jordan Islamic Bank’s Special Law No. (13) for the year 1978, and the aforementioned law was canceled and replaced by a special chapter on Islamic banks within the Banking Law No. (28) for the year 2000 and became effective as of 2nd August, 2000, and can be viewed through the link.
