Global Finance Magazine (New York) that is specialized in the field of banks and financial institutions has named Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) best Islamic financial institution in Jordan for 2016 for the eighth consecutive year within the announcement of the annual awards the magazine grants for the world’s best Islamic financial institutions.
According to a press release issued by the magazine, the continuation to grant Jordan Islamic Bank awards from Global Finance is out of the bank’s clear contribution to the growth of Islamic financing and the success in meeting its customers’ needs by providing products compliant with provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia in addition to the continued growth and safety in the future, afterintensive consultations with bankers, corporate finance executives and analysts throughout the world and according to many criteria including: growth in assets, profitability, geographic reach, strategic relationships, new business development, innovation in products, reputation, customer satisfaction and opinions of analysts and others involved in the industry.
Concerning the awards, Mr. Joseph D. Giarraputo, Global Finance publisher and editorial director said ” Islamic finance continues to expand rapidly – both geographically and in terms of structures and products , and those firms that have been named as this year’s Best Islamic Financial Institutions have consistently supported the needs of their clients. They are able to respond dynamically to the changing environment for Sharia-compliant financing, while upholding both the spirit and the letter of Sharia law.”
For his part, Mr. Musa Shihadeh , CEO- General Manager of JIB expressed how much pleased he is with the bank’s continuation to achieve greater achievements yearly and receive many distinguished global prizes including this one from Global Finance and for the eighth consecutive year in addition to other prizes granted by international institutions that pursue JIB’s successes , asserting the safety of the bank’s progress , its growth , keeping pace with recent developments and providing recent products that meet the clients’ aspirations and are compliant with provisions of Islamic Sharia .
The magazine’s press release included the names of best Islamic financial institutions at the country level for 2016, where five units of Albaraka banking group in addition to Jordan Islamic bank received awards from this magazine including ( Albaraka Algeria, Albaraka Bank Bahrain, Albaraka bank Lebanon Albaraka bank south Africa and Albaraka bank Tunisia) in addition to name Albaraka banking group best Islamic financial institution at the regional level for 2016
The awards will be distributed in a ceremony which will be conducted during IMF/ World Bank annual meetings in Washington DC during coming October , in the presence of officers and international and Arab banking leaders.
