Under the patronage of Mr. Musa Shihadeh, CEO , General Manager , Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) held a reception on the occasion of opening its new 74th branch in the commercial mall ( City Centre) in Irbid governorate / Prince Hassan street by the attendance of a number of governmental institutions officers , dignitaries of the governorate , clients and the executive management of the bank.
On this occasion, Mr. Shihadeh expressed how much pleased he is with implementing the strategic plan of the bank in the reach and the geographical expansion in different governorates of the kingdom to serve the national economy and local community citizens , so that the bank’s network of branches and offices comprises 97 during 2016 including 13 branches and offices within Irbid governorate which is considered the second largest governorate in Jordan after Amman in terms of area and population and it is marked by an economic activity and high population density. The bank’s branches in Irbid governorate are located in Al-Husn, Irbid –Bagdad street, Irbid – Hashmi street, Irbid –Palestine street, Irbid – Idoon street, Irbid –Hakama street, Dir Abi Saeed , Alshounah Alshamalyah, Ramtha, Bani Kenana district in addition to the two offices , AlTaiba and AlShajara.
Shihadeh indicated that opening a new branch of JIB within City Centre mall meets the needs of citizens as individuals or corporates and residents of the southern area of Irbid governorate which has witnessed a big commercial and construction rising in addition to the bank’s intention to be close to the citizens through opening branches or offices in the commercial malls with a continuous work hours ( in the morning and evening )round the week and during holidays. However, the bank started to apply this policy during the current year in its offices in Istiqlal Mall and Arifa ( Sameh ) Mall and it will be applied to the City Centre branch which has an ATM in addition to 184 ATMs distributed in all branches , offices of the bank and public utilities , providing free electronic services such as I- Banking and SMS. He asserted as well the bank’s interest in ensuring the best banking services for its clients with keeping pace with the recent technological developments in banking business which are in compliance with principles and provisions of Islamic principles with the continuation of the geographic expansion by opening more branches and offices.
