Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) and Zakat Fund, in cooperation with the charitable endowment in the Ministry of Awqaf , Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, held a Ramadan charity banquet for about 300 orphaned children and their families in the presence of Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, Crown Prince, in celebration of the Orphan Day in the Islamic world on the fifteenth of Ramadan.
His Majesty the King's Advisor, the Director of His Majesty's Office, Dr. Abdul Nasser Abu Al Basal, Minister of Endowments, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, Dr. Abdul Sumairat, Director General of the Zakat Fund and members of the Zakat Fund Board participated in the charity banquet.
Mr. Musa Shihadeh, General Manager of JIB, said: "We are sponsoring the Ramadan charity banquet for orphans in order to reinforce the social solidarity principle and to strengthen our bank's social responsibilities to serve the people of the local community through the interest of various groups of society, including the less fortunate orphans”.
He stressed his pride in the Bank's partnership with Zakat Fund and supporting various activities, including this Ramadan charity campaign, in addition to the various activities supported by JIB during the month of Ramadan, including support for many charitable banquets implemented by various institutions of civil society.
