JIB is a Diamond Sponsor of Arab Banking Conference

Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) provided the diamond sponsorship for Arab Banking Conference titled “ Mechanisms and Requirements of Sustainable Development in Arab Region “ which was organized by the Union of Arab Banks (UAB) in cooperation with the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) , the Association of Banks in Jordan (ABJ) and Union of Arab Bankers (UAB) under the patronage of the representative of the prime minister , Dr. Ziad Fariz , governor of the CBJ and the participation of H.E Sheikh Mohammad Jarah AL Sabah, Chairman of UAB and Dr. Joseph Tarbieh, Chairman of UAB in addition to numbers of Arab and regional banking institutions during the period 2-3 April 2017 in Land Mark Hotel, Amman. Moreover, JIB sponsored the meetings of the board of Directors of UAB, its 44th general assembly and the reception organized on 1/4/2017. Mr. Musa Shihadeh, CEO - General Manager of JIB , Chairman of ABJ commended the efforts of Union of Arab Banks in supporting Arab banks progress and selecting Jordan to hold UAB’s meetings and Arab banking conference in an assertion of the distinguished status that Jordan occupies , confirming how much pleased he is with the  efforts of the central bank of Jordan and Jordanian banks to upgrade the Arab banking business in general  and Islamic banking in particular. However, Shihadeh indicated that JIB’s sponsorship and supporting of the conference is a continuation of the bank’s approach and its social role through the participation in the local and foreign conferences and forums that are related to its field of business or those which help to develop the business of Arab and Islamic banks including the conferences and seminars held by the Union of Arab Banks, wishing them every success. Dr. Husni Jaradat , Manager of Risks Department at JIB participated as a primary speaker in the second session of the conference titled “ Islamic Economy and its Role in Reinforcing Financial & Social Stability “ through which he exposed the pioneer  experience of JIB  in Islamic banking business and its role in achieving the social and financial stability in Jordan in addition to the participation of group of JIB’s  specialized employees  in different sessions of the conference. Sheikh Mohammad Jarah AL Sabah, Chairman of UAB handed JIB an honorary shield in appreciation of its sponsorship and contribution to hold this conference. The conference which continued for two days included the topics of financing  for development and promising investment opportunities, requirements of improving investment environment , the role of banking sector in the development and reinforcing financial stability, SMEs , financial inclusion, the development of a strategy based on cooperation through the concept of economic partnership and its role in development. Financing the partnership between private and public sectors , investment in Arab  food security, the idea of establishing Arab investment fund to support Palestinian national economy and the future of Arab economies in changing world.
