Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) has supported the International Hashemite Competition for Memorization and Recital of the Holy Qur'an for males and females organized by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs annually by presenting cash prizes to the winners of the competition.
Mr. Musa Shihadeh, General Manager of JIB , said that the Bank's contribution to awarding prizes to the winners of the International Hashemite Competition for memorizing the Holy Quran for males and females for the 26th consecutive year is "one of the main activities of our bank annually in the holy month of Ramadan.
He added that this support comes as a confirmation of the partnership between the Bank and the Ministry of Awqaf through supporting the various activities of the Ministry during the year, especially supporting the International Hashemite Competition for memorizing the Holy Quran .
He pointed out that this support reflects the bank's social responsibilities through its interest in preserving the Holy Quran and supporting its memorizers, providing donations and monetary and in-kind prizes to them and supporting the various Quran memorization competitions organized by many bodies in the Kingdom.
The total donations the Bank provides as prizes to the winners of the Hashemite Competition since its inception amounted to about 534 thousand dinars, of which 40 thousand dinars this year (2018), during the official celebrations held by the ministry during the month of Rajab and the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan and in the presence of participants in the competition from different Arab and Islamic countries, officials ,scholars.
