JIB and in cooperation with the Jordanian Association for Islamic Finance, held a training workshop entitled "Control and auditing of the work of Islamic banks" under the auspices of Dr. Hussein Said, CEO / General Manager of JIB, with the participation of 33 members of the association, university professors, graduate students, researchers and who is interested in the topic of Islamic banking, at the building of JIB training Academy at Jabal Al-Hussein on 12/15/2019.
Dr. Hussein Said that holding this specialized workshop on Islamic supervision and auditing of Islamic banks aims to enhance the role of our bank in bearing its social responsibilities by spreading the culture of Islamic banking and linking theoretical aspects to practical aspects, setting our bank’s experience as a sample for practical application for all who seek knowledge from students, academics, researchers and institutions Educational, academic and research bodies, This workshop also shows the extent to which JIB complies with the highest standards of commitment to the principles of Islamic Sharia in terms of vision, mission and the administrative and organizational culture of the bank with a commitment to apply organizational amendments to the institutional governance of Islamic banks issued by the CBJ in addition to adhering to ethical and Islamic standards between all levels of employees, reinforcing this Commitment to a qualified and qualified Shari'a supervisory board consisting of four reputable members in addition to a qualified internal legal audit staff, Stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation between the bank and the association to hold more specialized workshops and circulate them in the various governorates of the Kingdom to define the concept of Islamic banking and its mechanism of work.
Dr. Ali Abu Al-Ezz, Director of the Sharia Audit Department at JIB, attended the workshop, reviewing the experience of the JIB in Sharia Supervision and Auditing, indicating the plan of the Sharia Audit Department, its work mechanism, its observations, the reporting mechanism, and how to take control measures aimed at applying the full commitment in the performance of the bank’s employees and its financing operations Different.
