Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) provided its golden sponsorship for the forum “Islamic Finance .. Reality & Vision “ in which the first Islamic banking report in Jordan and Palestine was launched by an organization of ARFAQ ( Financial Advisory Services & Training) under the auspice of H.E Dr. Mohammad Abu Hamour, Secretary General of Arab Thought Forum with participation of specialists , researchers , academics and bankers on 21/3/2017 in Grand Hayat Amman.
On behalf of Mr. Musa Shihadeh , CEO , General Manger of JIB, Dr. Musa Mubarak, Director of Corporate Banking delivered a statement in which he said that JIB’s support and participation in this forum is an assertion of assuming its social and economic responsibilities , supporting Islamic finance and Islamic banks and making a room for specialists to look up to future visions and modern challenges facing Islamic finance at the worldwide level and Jordan and Palestine levels, in addition to be identified with the practical experience of Jordan and Palestine in Islamic finance field through discussing success stories including JIB’s pioneer experience in Islamic banking business.
The bank’s participation in the forum represented by showing JIB’s experience as a success story during the first session which dealt with issues in Islamic finance, supervision , governance , Islamic banking and social responsibility in addition to the participation of group of the bank’s employees in all sessions which covered reality and challenges of Islamic finance, mechanisms of disseminating awareness, the role of Islamic banks in ethical finance, the role of woman and media in Islamic finance.
For her part, Dr. Khawla Nobani , the Director General of ARFAQ commended JIB’s witnessed interest in the development of Islamic fund industry through a distinguished methodology representing in its support and participation in various meetings which aim at the rising of Islamic banking business and Islamic finance. Moreover, she handed JIB an honorary shield in appreciation of its support for this forum.
