JIB is an Exclusive Sponsor of Blockchain Technology Conference

Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) provided exclusive sponsorship to the 7th International Scientific Conference titled "Blockchain Technology and Innovation in Business Organizations” organized by Tamkeen Center for Administrative and Technical Development. The conference was held under the auspices of the representative of the Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan Dr. Adel Sharks Deputy Governor and with the participation of a number of specialists from institutions interested in the information technology sector, academics from Jordan and abroad, specialists and researchers at the Grand Hotel Dead Sea during the period 20 - 21 / 3/2019. Mr. Musa Shihadeh, General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, delivered a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony of the conference, stressing the Bank's assuming its social responsibilities and enhancing its economic, developmental and supportive role in the national economy and sustainable development. The Bank seeks to follow up on what is new in the field of banking and technology, which is in line with the changes within the framework of adherence to the Islamic approach through participation or providing care and support in meaningful conferences and meetings including the sponsorship of this conference, which places Islamic banks as well as jurists, legislators and specialists in the Islamic banking industry to assume their responsibilities to improve the performance of Islamic banking. The participation of the bank in the conference represented by chairing Mr. Musa Shihadeh, the first dialogue session which dealt with the general concept of the technology and use of Blockchain in financial, banking institutions and business organizations, in addition to the participation of a number of Bank employees in the conference. Dr. Ghassan Al-Talib, Director of Tamkeen Center for Administrative and Technical Development, commended Jordan Islamic Bank, the pioneer in the Jordanian banking sector. He extended his thanks and appreciation to the bank for sponsoring this significant conference which deals with many topics related to Blockchain technology to introduce this technique and its different consequences.
