Jordan Islamic Bank and Credit Information Company - CRIF Jordan announced the extension of the credit information service agreement for a new period, which began in 2016, so that the company will continue to provide the bank with credit information services and the new services it develops. The CEO/General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank Dr. Hussein Said and the General Manager of CRIF Jordan, Ahmad Amoudi, signed the agreement. On this occasion, Dr. Hussein said, said that: “The signing of the agreement comes within our keenness and our deep belief that the exchange of credit information between all credit providers would protect bank assets and at the same time protect customers from over-indebtedness. It is also considered one of the most important tools for promoting financial inclusion and access to larger segments of customers and meet their different needs. The credit inquiry service has proven its high credibility and reliability over the past period and since it was launched five years ago. Dr. Hussein also stressed the importance of data in our time in building and making decisions, and that the bank is proud of its partnership with CRIF Jordan, where the company provided a credit database with high reliability, the data of which is updated from various sources, which helped the bank in the process of making a credit decision according to a clear basis and methodology to provide financing in accordance with the provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia. Jordan Islamic Bank is considered one of the largest and oldest Islamic banks operating in the Jordanian market and enjoys a broad base of clients. The bank’s management seeks all that is new in developing its operations and introducing financial technology into its systems in order to raise the level of efficiency and competitiveness and shorten the time. For his part, Amoudi expressed his pride in this partnership with Jordan Islamic Bank, and that the credit inquiry service, since its inception, has gone through several stages of development through the entry of many banks and finance companies into the service, which helped to increase the volume and quality of credit data contained in the CRIF data base, which It provides the necessary information in making a credit decision and helps in developing and protecting the various activities of the bank and increasing them in the future, in addition to the company launching a new set of services added to the basic service (credit report), which is the points evaluation service, the portfolio alerts index report, and the collective inquiry.
