Jordan Islamic Bank supports voluntary campaign on World Environment Day

JIB continued to support the activities of the Jordanian Environment Association through its sponsorship of the volunteer environment campaign on the occasion of the World Environment Day, which was organized by the Jordanian Environment Association and in cooperation with the Greater Amman Municipality at Shafa Badran area , which included tree pruning, cleaning works and road paving paint, and with the participation of volunteers and members of the Environment Assembly, on Tuesday 9/6/2020, while adhering to the health preventive measures, the participants wear masks and gloves and leave a safe distance between them. On this occasion, Dr. Hussein Said, CEO / General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank said that continuing our annual support and sponsorship for the activities of the Jordan Environment Association comes as a continuation of many of the activities of the association that our bank provided support during the last years such as World Forest Day, World Earth Day, and the drawing competition Environmental ... etc. This is an affirmation of our bank’s assumption of its social and environmental responsibilities by promoting a sustainable partnership with various sectors of the community’s institutions, and providing support for any activity that contributes to community service and the environment. Mr. Maan Nassirah, Executive Director of the Jordanian Environment Association thanked Jordan Islamic Bank for cooperation, continuous support for consecutive years of the activities and programs of the association, including this activity that contributes to achieving the goals of the association, and its initiatives in keeping the Jordanian environment clean from pollution and achieving the concept of sustainable development.
