JIB supports the environmental initiative “Our Tourism is Our Wealth and Our Environment” in Kufranja

To confirm Jordan Islamic Bank’s shouldering of its social responsibilities in the environmental field and community service, the Bank provided sponsorship and support to the Jordan Environment Society in its implementation of the environmental initiative entitled “Our Tourism is the Title of our Wealth and Environment” in celebration of World Earth Day and International Youth Day in cooperation with the Kufranjeh Municipality. The campaign included the cleaning of a tourist site in the Kufranja area, with the participation of the Royal Department for Environment and Tourism Protection in the North and Ajloun, representatives of official events and members of the local community, on 16/8/2022. On this occasion, CEO/General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, Dr. Hussein Said, said that we are keen on the continuous presence within any initiative that contributes to preserving the environment, spreading awareness, environmental and tourism culture, promoting sustainable development, supporting youth, and contributing to highlighting the role of our social and environmental bank, praising the sustainable partnership with the Jordan Environment Society and its annual activities and initiatives aimed at promoting the sustainability of preserving the environment and keeping the Jordanian nature clean. For his part, Mr. Ali Freihat, President of the Jordan Environment Society, thanked Jordan Islamic Bank for the continuity of sponsoring the annual activities of the Environment Society and supporting its mission and goals in spreading environmental awareness, and He handed an honorary shield to the representative of the bank, Mr. Hussein Al-Shwayyat, in appreciation of the bank's sponsorship of this initiative.
