JIB supports Jordan Engineers in Aqaba conference "Environment, Energy, Safety, Sustainability"

Based on the role of Jordan Islamic Bank and its commitment to enhancing environmental sustainability, green economy and clean energy, the bank contributed to supporting the efforts of Jordan Engineers Association by its sponsorship of Aqaba International Engineering Conference entitled "Environment, Energy, Salama, Sustainability", Which was held under the patronage of His Highness Prince Al-Hassan bin Talal and his participation through the visual communication technology, and in the presence of his delegate to the conference, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Aqaba Authority, His Excellency Mr. Nayef Al-Fayez and about 550 of the specialists, experts and those interested locally, regionally and globally, and continued for two days during the period 22-23 February 2023 in Hyatt Regency Hotel /Aqaba. Dr. Hussein Said, CEO/ General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, said that our bank enhances its continuous support for all activities that are held in various parts of the Kingdom, based on its assumption of its social responsibilities, which are in the service of the sustainable environment and scientific research and enhancing joint cooperation between the various public and private sector institutions, through providing support for this specialized scientific conference for the Jordan Engineers Association and deepening the practical engineering aspect through exchanging knowledge and experiences and providing solutions to face challenges related to the environment, safety and sustainability, which is held in the city of Aqaba, which has application of the royal vision as it a special economic zone. Eng. Ahmed Samara Al -Zoubi, head of Jordan Engineers Association and Engineer Amer Al -Habashneh, Chairman of the Engineers Association Branch in Aqaba, expressed thanks and appreciation to the bank for sponsoring the conference and supporting the engineering profession in Jordan through the continuous and active cooperation that brings together the association with the bank, and at the end of the opening ceremony, His Excellency Mr. Nayef Al -Fayez handed a honorary shield for the bank in appreciation of its sponsorship for the conference. The conference dealt with topics related to the fields of energy, environment, safety, sustainability, climate change, green environment, disaster management, crises and safety in major projects, investigation of industrial accidents, handling, transfer, and storage of dangerous chemicals, sustainability and the environmental protection system.
