Jordan Islamic Bank participated in supporting the digital collective wedding ceremony for the participants in the 28th ceremony that organized by Alafaf Charity Association through Digital communication technology in compliance with the preventive health measures due to the Corona pandemic, on 25/7/2020. Dr. Hussein Said, CEO / General Manager of JIB presented the congratulations and blessings for the grooms and their families and for Alafaf Charity Association on organizing this ceremony with this modern technology to enable the association to continue to perform its mission in helping the youth to get married and adapt with different circumstances, indicating that the participation of Jordan Islamic Bank in this ceremony It comes from the bank’s assumption of its social responsibilities by promoting Islamic values in dealing and foster interdependence, compassion and solidarity in society. The bank participated in supporting collective weddings that organized by the association since its foundation in 1995 by providing AlQard AlHasan and Nuqout to grooms, as the total of AlQard AlHasan provided in coordination with the association until the end of 2019 amounted to about JD 6.3 million distributed over 10.5 thousand beneficiaries. Moreover, during the year 2019, the amount reached to about JD 347 thousand, 347 people benefited from it, in addition to financing who wish to purchase furniture and different needs through Murabaha. Stressing the continuity of the bank’s presence in any activities of socially oriented and harmony with the bank’s social mission, indicating that the bank enhances its social role by providing AlQard AlHasan free of charge to individuals directly to help them face what is required in some social cases such as treatment, education and marriage, as the total of AlQard AlHasan that the bank provided since its inception until the end of 2019, about JD 302.6 million, of which 495.7 thousand citizens benefited, and during the year 2019, the amount reached to about JD 20.4 million, of which 24.1 thousand citizens benefited. The bank also receives deposits in the "AlQard AlHasan account" from those who wish to loan them through the bank as AlQard AlHasan, as the balance of this account at the end of 2019 amounted to about JD1.8 million. On this occasion, His Excellency Al-Haj Hamdi Al-Tabba, President of the Al-Afaf Charitable Association, praised the continuous efforts of Jordan Islamic Bank to support the activities of the association and to provide AlQard AlHasan and Nuqout to grooms who participating in weddings. Where the bank continued, and for successive years, to support this social activity because of the bank’s belief in the importance of serving the local community and achieving the principle of social solidarity
