Jordan Islamic Bank participated in supporting the thirtieth the annual collective wedding of Al-Afaf Charitable Association, "the third digital", which is being held for the second time this year via remote digital communication technology. Where the gift of "Nuqout" was presented to twenty-two grooms and brides who participated in the ceremony that was held on 2/ 10/ 2021.
CEO/General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, Dr. Hussein Said, stated that the strengthening of the social role of JIB appears through its presence and support for various community activities that contribute to achieving the principle of social solidarity. The annual collective weddings are a way to support the youth and helping them to found a family, which is the most important basis in the development of society, in addition to the continuous cooperation with the Al-Afaf Charitable Association, since its establishment, by providing Nuqout to the grooms who participating in collective weddings. In addition to providing financing to the grooms who wish to purchase furniture and various needs in the form of Murabaha, and providing AL- Qard Al hassan in coordination with the Al-Afaf Association, where the total of AL- Qard Al hassan provided since the establishment of the association until the end of 2020 amounted to about JD 6.6 million, distributed among 10.8 thousand beneficiaries, during the nine months of this year, the total number of AL- Qard Al hassan offered amounted to about JD 329,000 distributed among 330 beneficiaries, in addition to the AL- Qard Al hassan offered to individuals directly to help them face the immediate expenses of some social matters such as treatment, education and marriage. The total of AL- Qard Al Hassan provided by the bank since its establishment until the end of 2020 amounted to about JD 382 million, benefited about 49,516 thousand citizens.
On this occasion, His Excellency AL-Haj Hamdi Al-Tabbaa, President of the Al-Afaf Charitable Society, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Jordan Islamic Bank for the continuity of supporting the activities of Al-Afaf Society since its establishment, which contributed to helping the Society achieve its goals and perform its mission and programs aimed at facilitating the marriage, adding that collective weddings give a bright image of Jordanian society in its solidarity and cooperation.
