Jordan Islamic Bank continues to provide support for the annual collective wedding of the Al-Afaf Charitable Association, the twenty-ninth "second digital", which was held via remote digital communication technology, for the second year consecutive, by presenting a "Nuqout " for the grooms participating in the ceremony which their number is 24 grooms and brides, on 7/8/2021.
CEO/General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, Dr. Hussein Said, expressed his happiness with the bank’s presence in community activities that contribute to achieving the principle of social solidarity and enhance the bank’s role in shouldering its social responsibilities and sustainability by supporting the youth and helping them bear wedding costs through the bank’s provision of AlQard AlHasan and “Nuqout ” for grooms who are about to get married, as the total of AlQard AlHasan provided in coordination with the association until the end of 2020 amounted to about 6.6 million dinars, distributed to 10.8 thousand beneficiaries, and during the year 2020 , the amount reached about JD 310 thousand, benefiting 311 beneficiaries. This is in addition to financing those who wish to purchase furniture and various needs in the form of Murabaha.
Dr. Hussein also stressed the continuity of the bank to provide AlQard AlHasan to individuals directly to help them face the immediate expenses of some social matters such as treatment, education and marriage, as the total of AlQard AlHasan provided by the bank since its establishment until the end of 2020 amounted to about JD 382 million, of which about 49516 thousand citizens benefited, and during the year 2020, the amount reached to about JD 17 million , from which about 20 thousand citizens benefited, in addition to the continuity of the bank’s reception of deposits in the “AlQard AlHasan account” from those wishing to lend them through the bank as AlQard AlHasan, as the balance of this account reached at the end of the year 2020 about JD 1.9 million.
For his part, His Excellency Al-Haj Hamdi Al-Tabba, President of the Al-Afaf Charitable Association, in his speech during the ceremony, praised the benevolent efforts and the continuous support of Jordan Islamic Bank for the activities of the association and the performance of its mission and program aimed at facilitating the means of marriage and holding collective weddings and contributing to its success in the service of the members of the community, alleviating them and helping them establish their families.
