JIB Supports the Cleanliness Campaign in Irbid Governorate

Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) sponsored the environmental activity organized by Jordan Environment Society in Irbid governorate under the patronage of the Deputy Mayor of Irbid, Engineer Mohammad Dweiri, on the occasion of World Forest Day, which falls on 21 March each year. The activity, which was carried out in the Chinese Garden / Irbid, included planting trees and cleaning the site with participation of volunteers ,school students , members of the Environment Society and staff of JIB’s Irbid branches on 21/3/2019. On this occasion, Mr. Musa Shihadeh, General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, said: "In an assertion of assuming the bank’s social responsibilities in protecting the environment and achieving the objectives of its strategic sustainability plan to protect the environment and reduce the negative impact on it, our Bank has continued to implement targeted environmental activities aimed at promoting the concept of environmental protection in cooperation with the Jordan Environment Society through the Bank's provision of monetary support for the activities of the Society, including World Forest Day. " Mr. Ali Freihat, Chairman of the Jordan Environment Society, expressed appreciation of the Association for the continuous efforts exerted by the Bank to promote the service of voluntary bodies, including activities of Jordan Environment Society and achieving its objectives and the concept of sustainable development. Jordan Islamic Bank was handed an honorary shield, received by Mr. Hisham Shaboul, Director of Irbid Branch, Baghdad Street, in recognition of the Bank's sponsorship and support for the activities of the Environment Society and the celebration of World Forest Day.
