Jordan Islamic Bank participated in sponsoring and supporting the "Draw a Smile" initiative organized by the Haya Cultural Center during the holy month of Ramadan, which aims to provide the opportunity for less fortunate children of different locations and social conditions to benefit from the center's programs and enjoy its educational and creative activities and draw a smile on the faces of children. Where a Ramadan Iftar was held for 100 children from charities within the less fortunate areas. The children participated in playing and enjoying creative activities within the center’s facilities, listening to the stories of Ramadan storytellers, attending a play and showing Al-Masharati. At the end of the event, Eid gifts were distributed to the children.
Dr. Hussain Said, CEO/General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, said that our bank’s participation in the “Draw a Smile” initiative confirms our bank’s commitment to its social responsibilities and its continuous endeavor to be among the sustainable development initiatives that serve the local community and the less fortunate groups, and enhance the sustainable partnership between our bank and civil society institutions. This initiative is in addition to many different charitable and social activities that our bank participated in during the blessed month of Ramadan, in order to achieve the principle of symbiotic cooperation among all members of society.
For her part, Mrs. Reem Arida, General Manager of Haya Cultural Center, praised the role and active contribution of Jordan Islamic Bank in supporting and succeeding this initiative, which achieves the visions of the Haya Center in encouraging, disseminating and developing knowledge and promoting creative learning for all segments of society, including the less fortunate. The heads of charities participating in the event also expressed their thanks and appreciation to Jordan Islamic Bank.
