Jordan Islamic Bank supports Financial Stability Strengthening Forum

Jordan Islamic Bank supported the Financial Stability Forum which was organized by the Union of Arab Banks and in cooperation with the Central Bank of Jordan and the Association of Banks in Jordan. The Forum was opened under the patronage of the representative of the Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan Dr. Adel Sharks/ Deputy Governor and with the participation of a group of Arab bankers and experts during the period 22-23 / 7/2019 at the Intercontinental Hotel- Amman. Dr. Hussein Said, Chief Executive Officer / General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank said: Our bank seeks to be present in various meetings that aimed to improve the performance of Arab and Islamic banking work, in light of our bank's commitment to its social and economic responsibilities and the strengthening of the joint Arab banking mechanism, the Bank continues to support the various activities of the Union of Arab Banks Who is exerting utmost efforts to follow the most important developments in the banking system, which is why this forum was held Which shows the importance of enhancing financial stability and introducing the most important developments and amendments to international and regional initiatives in the light of global crises and the reasons ,also presentation of strategies and tools that contribute to achieve and strengthening financial stability, which is reflected positively on the performance of banks and the Arab economy. The participation of the bank in the forum was headed by Dr. Hussein Said, the second session entitled” The impact of governance and peaceful management of risks in enhancing financial stability" with the participation of Arab experts and bankers on the topics of effective supervision of banks and enhancing transparency, disclosure and governance in banks from an Islamic perspective and the sound laws of corporate governance in accordance with the highest standards and verify the safety of risk management and reporting, and participated a group of employees of the Bank in the activities of the Forum , A special tariff pavilion was set up for the Bank in this forum. Professor Wissam Fattouh Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Banks gave a special shield to the Jordan Islamic Bank, In recognition of his support for the Forum, at the end of the Forum and honoring the supporting bodies
