In line with the current conditions of the Corona pandemic and the requirements of dealing with it by taking all preventive measures and precautions and taking into account the requirements of public safety, His Excellency CEO / General Manager Dr. Hussein Said directed the Academy for Training and Human Resources Development to provide Online Internship for the students of Islamic banks in the University of Jordan by using the (MS Teams) application.
Dr. Hussein Said that: this procedure comes from the role of our bank in assuming its social responsibilities in supporting the academic, scientific and research process of Jordanian university students and sponsoring the education process in general and the students of the University of Jordan and the Faculty of Sharia in particular, stressing the bank’s keenness to strengthen the effective partnership between the financial and educational sectors in the kingdom.
He explained that "Online Internship comes as a continuation of the agreements that our bank entered into with the College of Sharia at the University of Jordan during the past years to provide training opportunities to the students of the Faculty of Sharia and the specialization of Islamic banks at the bank’s branches and offices to enrich the scientific and theoretical side of students in a manner consistent with the practical application of Islamic banking operations at our bank."
He added that "in light of the continuation of the Corona pandemic and its repercussions, and in light of the preventive measures that our bank takes to deal with this pandemic and the difficulty of training students at the bank's branches and offices to end the practical training requirements and preserve their safety, the bank will provide specialized lecturers from its various departments to provide lectures explaining the mechanism of work and how to train electronically For the purposes of student's graduation through the use of (MS Teams) application, confirming the continuity of the bank’s interaction with any activity that supports the academic and research path of Jordanian university students, noting in this regard that during the year 2019 the bank trained 670 students from local universities and institutes in its branches and offices throughout the kingdom".
He said that "this positive step came as keenness of the two sides on the health and safety of students, with the continuous endeavor to support the academic process that provides students with the skills required in the labor market and benefits their academic and practical performance after graduation, praising the partnership between JIB and the University of Jordan, and which is reflected in the bank’s continued presence in the various activities of the university".
