IFN Names JIB Best Islamic Bank in Jordan

Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) won the award as best Islamic bank in Jordan for 2017 from Islamic Finance News which is  based in Kuala Lumpur and it is an international institution specialized in providing news for the Islamic financial sector. The magazine grants its awards annually to honor the best institutions providing Islamic financial services in markets and sectors. Selecting JIB to win this award is based on the annual comprehensive referendum conducted by the Islamic Finance News  magazine where it invited Islamic financial companies and investors and companies from outside the banking sector and government institutions from around the world to participate in this referendum to select the best banks in their countries according to the successes records our bank achieved and its excellence in providing services and products , in addition to the innovation, creativity and good methodology it follows. The Islamic Finance News Awards are considered the most transparent and competitive international awards, and are subject to strict standards when voting, where companies and banks are not allowed to vote for themselves, but are subject to the judgment of others.  Mr. Musa Shihadeh, General Manager of JIB said the continuation to grant our bank this award during the years 2012- 2014 -2015 – 2016 and 2017 manifests the distinguished banking position that the bank enjoys in the Islamic banking sector locally, regionally and globally and its success and excellence in providing the Islamic banking services to be the center of attraction for its achievements, its goals and strategy . Dr. Hussein Said, Deputy General Manager of JIB  received the award in the annual ceremony, which was held in the city of Dubai on Sunday 11th March 2018. It is worth mentioning that Al Baraka Banking Group won Bahrain Deal of the Year Award and Regulatory Capital Deal of the year Award for its US$ 400 million Tier 1 Sukuk and other subsidiary units of the group in Bahrain, Egypt , Lebanon, Syria and South Africa won the awards as best Islamic banks in their countries for 2017.
