Jordan Islamic Bank wins in the Excellence Award in the field of social responsibility for Islamic banks (commitment) for the year 2020

Jordan Islamic Bank won in the Excellence Award in the field of social responsibility for financial institutions and Islamic banks (commitment) for the year 2020 for Islamic banking sector in the Arab region, by the regional network of social responsibility, a member of the United Nations Program for the Global Compact, for the distinguished role of the bank towards society and its promotion of responsible practices and achieving sustainable development in the field of green banking and reflecting it on the work environment. Professor Youssef Abdel Ghaffar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Regional Network for Social Responsibility and General Manager of the International Center for Sustainable Development, announced that JIB won in this award during the activities of the conference and the Fifth Islamic Financial Institutions and Banks Award for Partnership and Social Responsibility for the year 2020, which was held through the application "Zoom" on 11 6/2020, He wished more success for the bank, hoping that this award will be a strong motivation for other financial institutions to benefit from the bank's experience to proceed in strengthening and harmonizing banking practices to achieve the concept of green sustainable development. On this prize, Dr. Hussein Said, CEO, General Manager of JIB, expressed on his happiness and pride in the achievements that the bank constantly achieves, stressing the success of the approach and strategy policy implemented by the bank to achieve and integrate sustainable development in Islamic banking, until the Regional Social Responsibility Network re-granted this award to Jordan Islamic Bank, which was previously obtained for the year 2017, this pushes the bank to exert more efforts to achieve other successes in the field of social responsibility, sustainable development and a complete transformation of the green exchange, so that the experience of Jordan Islamic Bank in this field is pioneering and distinctive as are its permanent achievements at various levels. This conference was organized by the regional network of social responsibility and in cooperation with the Global Center for Sustainable Development and Social Responsibility and in strategic partnership with Al Baraka Banking Group and with the participation and sponsorship of Jordan Islamic Bank, and he addressed the topic "Green Banking and its Tools to Promote Responsible Practices and Achieve Sustainable Development" and named the late Sheikh Saleh Abdullah Kamel, in appreciation of his benevolent career and his distinguished role in the care and support of Islamic banking, and with honorary sponsorship by the CEO of Al Baraka Banking Group His Excellency Mr. Adnan Ahmed Youssef, international ambassador for social responsibility, With the participation of the honorary guest of the conference, His Excellency Dr. Hashem Hussein, Head of the Office of Investment Promotion and Technology at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization "UNIDO", and with the participation of experts and speakers in the areas of Islamic banking, social responsibility and sustainable development from many Arab and Islamic countries.
