JIB reaps the Prize of Social Responsibility for Arab and Islamic Banks 2016

Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) reaped the prize of social responsibility for Arab and Islamic banks for the second consecutive year from the Arab Organization for Social Responsibility in its tenth season during the period 30-31/8/2016 in Sharm AlShaikh with a participation of administrative and leading figures  in the field of social responsibility at the level of Arab region. Mr. Pier  Makarzel, Chairman of Arab Organization for Social Responsibility said Jordan Islamic Bank has obtained the prize in appreciation of its distinguished efforts and initiatives  to crown its achievements in the field of social contributions and for the issuance of an annual social responsibility report in order to motivate others to deal with social responsibly and change it to the strategic concept in the sectors of banks and financial institutions and enhance it through the wise management. For his part, Mr. Musa Shihadeh , CEO / General Manager of JIB said the bank’s continuation to reap prizes confirms that it is leading the right path in applying its strategy aiming to remain in the lead. This prize asserts the successful social role of the bank and its excellence in assuming its social responsibilities towards different layers of society, emphasizing on the success of Islamic banks in performing their different roles to serve economy and society as well. However, Mr. Ahmad Abdelkareem , Manager of Public Relations received the golden shield and the certificate of excellence on behalf of JIB. it is worth mentioning that during 2015 , JIB obtained a certificate from the International Organization for Standardization / Geneva for the Bank’s participation in the social responsibility project on uptake and use of  ISO 26000 in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
