Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) was recently recognized by the globally renowned EMEA Finance Magazine with Best Islamic Bank in Jordan for the 3rd consecutive year and Best Islamic Bank in the Middle East for 2015 within the awards the magazine grants in recognition of the efforts of banks and Islamic and financial institutions that are pioneers on the level of Europe, Middle East region and Africa through the assessment of their performance in retail financial services sector, investment banking services and assets management.
JIB received these awards in recognition of its solid performance and its successful management , the continual growth of its market share in key areas like assets, financings, deposits and profits in addition to its broad based sector financing across the country, modern technological services provided for customers, keeping an eye on Non-Performing Loans ( NPL’s) – currently the lowest across the kingdom’s largest banks, receiving good credit ratings such as Standard & Poor’s rating, receiving a certificate of appreciation for the uptake and use of ISO 26000 guidance on social responsibility and its impressive strides towards its five – year strategic sustainability plan 2014-2018.
Mr. Christopher Moore, Publisher and CEO of EMEA Finance said granting these awards for Jordan Islamic Bank is an appreciation and recognition of its achievements , as the bank approaches its 40th anniversary, just a few years away. It is apparent that the bank’s core messages deepening the values of Islamic Sharia to provide the latest innovative banking and financing products and gaining the trust of customers and being an example that is taken after by other peers across Jordan and the middle East.
Commenting on these awards, Mr. Musa Shihadeh, CEO, General Manager of JIB expressed how much pleased he is with the results the bank achieved to reap further awards which emphasize that the bank takes the right path , applying its strategy which is prepared to be always in the lead and attract attention towards its successful experience in applying Islamic banking and enhance its role in supporting economy and serving community. He also stresses on exerting further efforts to maintain its distinguished position locally and globally.
However, Mr. Ahmad Abdelkareem, Manager of Public Relations at Jordan Islamic Bank received the awards during the Middle East Banking Awards 2015 Charity Dinner held in Dubai on 24 February in Conrad Dubai Hotel.
