Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) has received the PCI Data Security Standard ( PCI DSS) Compliance Certification in its latest version (3.1) from Payments Card Industry(PCI) which is specialized in applying the highest security standards for all information of cardholders.
Mr. Musa Shihadeh , CEO , General Manager of JIB received the certification which is granted to the bank for its systems’ compliance to the latest banking standards to measure the data security of cardholders in cooperation with ControlCase, an international company specialized in PCI –DSS compliance, which assessed and audited the bank’s compliance in applying this standard which is accredited by the banks to ensure a high level of data security of cardholders and decided by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council and meets the requirements of the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ).
Mr. Shihadeh expressed how much pleased he is with obtaining the bank this certificate which is an add to the achievements the bank strives to get in the field of electronic services by providing the best methods and means which ensure the clients’ data security and achieve the bank’s mission which seeks to enhance the trust of all clients by providing services that keep pace with the changes in compliance with the principles and provisions of Islamic Sharia to protect the data of the cardholders and ensure safe payment channels for them.
For his part, Mr. Afy Merchant, the Executive Manager of ControlCase said we are pleased with our collaboration with Jordan Islamic Bank which is considered one of the largest Jordanian banks that provides excellent Islamic banking services and adheres to ensure safe payment services to its clients in Jordan, and we provided the bank a comprehensive set of technical scanning, consulting and security percepts assessment which helped the bank get the PCI DSS compliance certification.
