Jordan Islamic Bank celebrated the Independence Day and honored the blind students who graduated from the second grade of secondary (Tawjihi) from Abdullah Ibn Umm Maktoum Secondary School for the Blind (Blind Academy) by presenting gifts to the graduates and supporting their annual ceremony, which was held under the patronage of the representative of His Excellency the Minister of Education and Higher Education / Dr. Ajmal Al-Tuwaiqat, Director of Education / Marka, in the building of the Academy for the Blind, on Tuesday, 24/5/2022
CEO/General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, Dr. Hussein Said, expressed his happiness with the bank’s participation in the national celebrations of the Independence Day and honoring graduate students from the Academy of the Blind, in confirmation of the role of Jordan Islamic Bank in bearing its social responsibility towards members of Jordanian society, especially the less fortunate and those with special needs.
Dr. Hussein Said emphasized the continuation of supporting the Academy of the Blind, whose activities and students have been exclusively supported by the Bank since 1995, so the bank has an active role every year by supporting the cohorts of graduates who challenged their disabilities and to continue their educational path and become active members in their community, thus achieving the Bank one of its most important goals in sustainable social development by supporting the less fortunate and helping them.
For her part, the Director of the Academy of the Blind, Dr. Najah Falah Al-Khalayleh, praised Jordan Islamic Bank’s annual participation in the Academy’s celebrations of the Independence Anniversary and the provision of annual support for the graduation ceremony of blind students and honoring them for continuous years, stressing the importance of supporting blind students by all.
During the ceremony, a performance of the White Cane play and a choir for the academy’s students were presented. Dr. Ajmal Al-Tuwaiqat distributed certificates and gifts provided by the bank to 18 graduate students, and handed an honorary shield to the representative of Jordan Islamic Bank, Mr. Ahmed Abdel Karim, Manager of Public Relations, in appreciation of the bank’s support for the ceremony and the giving of gifts.
