Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) renewed for the 27th consecutive year the support for the Hashemite International and Local Competition for memorizing and Recital of the Holy Quran for males and females, organized by the Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places. The bank presented cash prizes to the winners of the competition during the official ceremony held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein on behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah II to honor the winners of the competition and the jury on June 20 at the Grand Conference Hall of the Islamic Cultural Center of the Martyr King Abdullah bin Al Hussein Mosque. Dr. Hussein Saeed, CEO / General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, said that the participation of our bank as a major supporter of the Hashemite Competition annually is one of the Bank's most important annual social activities and an affirmation of the bank's social responsibilities through its interest in preserving the Holy Quran by providing donations and honorary awards for memorizers and competitions organized through the Ministry of Awqaf and various local institutions. The bank aims to promote the sustainable and participatory relationship with the Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places in support of its activities throughout the year. The total donations provided by JIB as prizes for the winners of the Hashemite Competition since its establishment amounted to about 574 thousand dinars, of which 40 thousand dinars were distributed this year 2019. For his part, HE Dr. Abdul Nasser Abu Al Basal, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, commended Jordan Islamic Bank's annual contribution to awarding prizes to the winners of the Holy Quran and supporting the various activities of the Ministry of Awqaf.
