Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) sponsored the dialogue meeting for the wood industries and furniture sector by an organization of Jordan Chamber of Industry in the presence of H.E Eng. Maha Ali, Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply and Secretary General of the Ministry of Labor with a wide participation of Jordanian industrial companies from wood industries and furniture sector.
However, this meeting aims to discuss ways to develop this sector and required procedures to support competiveness locally and abroad and present the challenges facing industrial wood sector and ways to tackle them to enable the sector to increase its sales in local and foreign markets.
Concerning JIB’s sponsorship of this meeting, Mr. Musa Shihadeh, CEO/ General Manager said these meetings give our bank the opportunity to introduce its financial and banking services which are compliant with Islamic Sharia and enable manufacturers in wood and furniture and other sectors to benefit from them. In addition, JIB’s participation in this meeting is an application of its economic and social role and a complementarity of the participations aiming to support the activities of Jordan Chamber of Industry and expand SMEs projects financing grants. However, JIB participated in many activities of the chamber during the past year such as supporting the open financing day for industrial sector and Our Jordan Festival to support Jordanian products and industries. JIB is associated with the chamber by a memorandum of understanding to make it easy for the industrial sector to benefit from the bank’s Islamic financing services especially SMEs.
Mr. Bashir Okasha , the Executive Manager of Sukuk and investment portfolios department presented a data show which highlights the most prominent activities of JIB and the Islamic financing and banking solutions provided for different industry holders.
Mr. Mohammad Alkarabsheh, second deputy of Jordan chamber of industry’s chairman and Engineer Saad Isstityeh, a board member of Jordan chamber of industry, representative of wood industries and furniture sector extended their thanks and appreciation to Jordan Islamic bank for its support, commending the bank’s significant role in supporting local industries especially in wood industries and furniture sector.
