Jordan Islamic Bank contributed by providing the silver sponsorship to the Second Jordan International Forum for Occupational Safety and Health, organized by Jordanian Engineers Association - Safety Engineers Association 's, in partnership with Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II Academy for Civil Protection, and with the support of the Arab Institute for Safety Sciences and the American Society of Safety Professionals ( ASSP) - Egypt Branch, Which was inaugurated under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Labor, Mr. Nayef Istitieh, and with the participation of researchers, academics and engineers working in the field of occupational safety and health from all over the world, on 25/11/2021 in Amman - Rotana Hotel.
On this occasion, CEO/General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, Dr. Hussein SaId, said, “Based on our bank’s assumption of its social responsibilities and its commitment to providing a safe, secure and productive work environment, our bank’s sponsorship of this forum reflects our bank’s interest in learning about the most important developments in occupational safety and health issues and working on developing and implementing systems Plans and requirements for occupational safety and health and take all necessary measures to reduce the possibility of any injuries resulting from the work environment that ensures the provision of a safe work environment that prevents risks for the human and material elements.
During the opening ceremony, the president of the Jordanian Engineers Association, Engineer Ahmed Samara Al-Zoubi, thanked Jordan Islamic Bank for its contribution to supporting the forum, and he handed over an honorable shield to the bank's representative, praising the bank’s excellence in supporting scientific research and engineering and professional conferences, and stressing the importance of the topics that the forum highlights on health and safety legislation occupational health (local and regional) and its effectiveness in protecting the workforce, and raising awareness of occupational health and safety.
The forum, which was held via zoom technology, included topics aimed at raising the general level in the field of occupational safety and health for all production elements and throughout the country, increasing the understanding of employers, workers and all segments of society of the benefits of investing in the field of safety, and developing, activating communication, coordination and participation among all relevant parties in the field of occupational safety and health.
