JIB Sponsors the Scientific Day Islamic Banking: Sharia Solutions and Modern Necessity

Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) provided exclusive sponsorship for the 18th scientific day of the Jordanian Association for Ijaz Al - Quran and Sunnah in cooperation with the World Islamic Sciences University titled “Islamic Banking: Sharia Solutions and Modern Necessity”. The activity held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, Dr. Abdul Nasser Abu Al-Basal, with the participation of a group of scholars and professors of Sharia, academics and specialists from universities on 30/3/2019. Mr. Musa Shihadeh, General Manager of JIB commended the efforts of, Islamic Affairs, the Jordanian Society for Ijaz Al Quran and Sunnah to hold this meeting to highlight the role of Islamic banking and its Sharia solutions that contribute to raising society and economy. He stressed that the Bank's sponsorship of the scientific day is a continuation of the bank's ongoing activities, which complement its social role together with its economic role in providing Islamic banking services. He also pointed out the continuation of support for various activities that support the advancement of Islamic banking and upgrading it. The participation of the bank represented by presiding Dr. Hussein Said, Deputy General Manager the first session, whereas Dr. Musa Mubarak, Assistant General Manager of JIB, presented a working paper during the first session titled "Corporate Social Responsibility, Jordan Islamic Bank’s Experience". Dr. Hussein Said received a special shield for the bank from Eng. Hatem Al-Bishtawi, Chairman of the Jordanian Association for Ijaz Al - Quran and Sunnah, in recognition of the Bank's sponsorship and support for the Scientific Day of the Society. For his part, Eng. Hatem Al-Bishtawi expressed his thanks and appreciation to Jordan Islamic Bank and its efforts in building the Jordanian economy and the leadership of the Bank in supporting national and research institutions and its continuous support for the activities of the Association and its scientific days held several times. He praised the management of the Bank represented by the General Manager. Mr. Musa Shihadeh, who is one of the initiators in providing support for various activities and initiatives that serve the nation, society and the national economy. During the scientific day, several working papers were presented and discussed dealing with transactions contracts in Islamic banks, the experience of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in the (B.O.T) system, the challenges facing Islamic banks and the suspicions issues raised about Islamic banking and the role of Shari'a supervision of Islamic banks operations.
