Jordan Islamic Bank won the award for the safest Islamic bank in Jordan for the year 2022 from The Banking Executive magazine issued by World Union of Arab Bankers. Where Mr. Wissam Fattouh, Secretary-General of World Union of Arab Bankers and Union of Arab Banks handed over the award to Dr. Hussein Said, CEO/General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, that was during the dinner party of the Union of Arab Banks and Arab Women Authority, which was held in Amman, entitled "Successful experiences of Arab women in light of successive economic challenges and crises." The Arab Banking Excellence and Achievement Awards for the year 2022 were previously announced, and the bank won the award during the annual dinner party for the Union, which was held in Istanbul - Turkey on 9/22/2022. Professor Wissam Fattouh said that Jordan Islamic Bank won this award, in appreciation of its pioneering and developmental role, providing a model of stability in facing various challenges. The bank was able to continue to maintain its position among the elite in the industry of achievements, mastering excellence and exclusivity by hard work, and upgrading the Islamic banking work to deservedly receive the award for the safest bank, providing an added value and a role model in the Jordanian and Arab banking sector. Commenting on this award, Dr. Hussein Said said: “We are proud of our bank’s continued receiving of excellence awards from World Union of Arab Bankers, and we appreciate their interest in highlighting our bank’s achievements annually, which consolidates our leading position as the safest bank in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and also reflects the extent of our stability and strong presence at the local level, which enhances the confidence of our customers in our services and products that are compatible with the provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia.” It is worth noting that Jordan Islamic Bank has previously won several awards from the magazine, including the award for the strongest Arab bank in Islamic banking for 2015 and the strongest Islamic bank in Jordan in 2017, the best brand for an Islamic bank in Jordan in 2020, and the award for the best Islamic bank in Jordan for 2021.
