The Faculty of Sharia at the University of Jordan honors JIB

The University of Jordan honored Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB), where Mr. Musa Shihadeh, the Bank's General Manager, received an honorary shield from Dr. Azmi Mohafaza, President of the University of Jordan. The honor came in recognition of the Bank's continued support for the various activities of the Faculty of Sharia and the awarding of prizes to the winners of the Holy Quran and Hadith competition and sponsoring the scientific day of the Faculty of Sharia for 2017-2018 entitled "I am free: freedom and religion critical concepts" and the participation of academics and sharia scholars on the stadium of Hassan bin Talal last Sunday . On this occasion, Mr. Shihadeh said: "This honor comes as a confirmation of the partnership and sustainability of our bank with the University of Jordan, in particular the Faculty of Shari'a, which enhances our bank's social responsibilities through the annual sponsorship of the scientific day of Faculty of Sharia, the presentation of prizes for Quran memorization competitions and the establishment of a Quran memorization center at the University of Jordan in the name of the late Dr. Ibrahim Zaid Al-Kilani, in addition to the bank's donation to cover the costs of updating Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Khayyat's curriculum at the Faculty of Shari'a and presenting a cash prize annually to the first graduate student at the Faculty of Sharia , sponsoring conferences and seminars held by the Faculty annually and donate to renovate three classrooms in the Faculty, which is currently being updated. The Bank also provides training opportunities for university students to specialize in Islamic banks, finance and business in the branches and offices of the bank to enrich the theoretical and practical aspects of the bank; an activity that supports the academic and research process of university students. For his part, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Kilani, Dean of the Faculty of Sharia / University of Jordan, expressed his pride in the continuous cooperation between the Faculty of Sharia and Jordan Islamic Bank, the leading banking institution in the Islamic banking business in Jordan, for its benefit to students and the academic process, extending his thanks and appreciation to Jordan Islamic Bank for its support and sponsorship.
