Jordan Islamic Bank ‘s experience has been presented as a success story in Islamic banking business and its role in achieving development in compliant with Sharia principles in a work sheet presented by Mr. Mohammad AlJabari, Manager of Internal Audit Department, on behalf of Dr Hussein Said, Deputy General Manager and that within the primary panels of the second International Economic Conference organized by Jordan society for Scientific Research titled “Financing the New Millennium Economies : Explore the Opportunities & Challenges” , under the patronage of H.E Dr Abdel Salam AlMajali, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Jordan Society for Scientific Research by a participation of experts and specialists.
On this occasion, Mr. Musa Shihadeh , CEO – General Manager of JIB said we are pleased with scientific research specialists who are interested in our bank’s experience which asserts the successes we have accomplished and attracted the attention. JIB’s participation in providing the support for this conference is out of its approach adopted to assume social responsibilities towards many initiatives undertaken by several institutions to support the scientific research and activities that benefit local community individuals and to strengthen the cooperative role between the bank and Jordan Society for Scientific Research which the bank always seeks to support its various scientific activities.
The conference which was held in Holiday Inn Hotel on Saturday 16/4/2016 addressed many topics, most notably a reflection of global changes on economies, Jordan indebtedness, basic reforms in preparing general budget in Jordan, the most important problems facing investment and investors, reflections of economic globalization on competitiveness of Arab foreign commerce, the role of foreign investments in financing new millennium economies, economic aspects of globalization and its impacts on the national economy, Islamic finance and financial crises, promoting knowledge economics and economic growth.
