Jordan Islamic Bank concluded its geographic expansion plan for the current year 2022 by transferring its office in Aqaba Governorate to the eighty-ninth branch under the name of Al-Hammamat Al-Tunisia Street branch, at the same location located in Al-Hammamet Al-Tunisi Street, as of Sunday, 27/11/ 2022.
Dr. Hussein Said, CEO / General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, said, in confirmation of the special importance that the Aqaba governorate enjoys for our bank as a special economic zone and Jordan's sea and tourism window, our bank has been present there since 1982 to be the seventh branch of the bank, and an office was opened in 2014 to be converted today into a branch, and since that time until now, the city has enjoyed a large share of the investments and financing of our bank distributed in various sectors of real estate, building materials, land / vehicles, commercial, agricultural and various health financing, commercial and hotel buildings...etc.
Dr. Hussein Said appreciated the efforts of the bank's management to implement the geographical expansion strategy for this year 2022, to be concluded in Aqaba Governorate, which now includes two branches of the bank, along with ten ATMs, two of which accept cash deposit service, and to match the rapid growth of Aqaba Governorate, stressing the continuation of geographical expansion in order to achieve the principle of financial inclusion by delivering the bank’s various services to all segments of society, to meet the needs of the bank’s customers and to provide the best banking and financing services that are compatible with the provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia.
And with the end of the bank's geographical expansion plan during 2022, the bank has now 89 branches and 22 banking offices spread throughout the Kingdom, by opening two new offices at the World Islamic Sciences & Education University and Ramtha and converting five offices to branches that included (Shafa Badran, Dahyet Al-Rasheed / Capital Governorate, Mafraq Gate, Al- mazar al-shamali and Al - Aqaba, Tunisian Hammamet Street) and Ramtha branch was moved to a new location.
