Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) continued to support various social activities that are in line with the spirituality of the holy month of Ramadan ,achieve the principle of social solidarity and affirm JIB's social responsibilities in various fields of education, health, environment and sustainable development as well as its economic role for it is considered a primary and efficient participant in different local activities organized throughout the year and are characterized during the holy month of Ramadan, through donations and support to many official national institutions , charities and voluntary organizations within Jordan, and support for collective and charitable gatherings as well as sponsoring various educational and awareness programs directed to various segments of society.
Donations have been made to the support fund for the families and sons of martyrs of the Jordanian armed forces in honor of the role of the Jordanian armed forces in promoting security and economic and social stability, In the educational aspect, support was provided to the Ministry of Education for the establishment of classrooms or the construction of a school to provide a healthy learning environment for students.
The food parcels were delivered to the poorest families through support for the activities of Tkiyet Um Ali during the holy month of Ramadan. The Bank donated to the activities of the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization to distribute food parcels to orphans, the poor and the needy, and meals for the fasting people. A donation was made to The Islamic Cultural Center at the University of Jordan, the Association for the Preservation of the Holy Quran and the Zakat Committee for Islamic Advocacy for the Palestinian People, A donation was made to the activities of the Palestinian Medical Aid Society for the operation of the Cardiology Clinic at the Medical Center in Talbiya Zizia. The Bank continued its participation in supporting the activities of the Al Hussein Foundation and Center For the cancer in its Ramadan campaign "Zakatkm Hayati" distributed "Brochure" campaign "at all branches and offices of the bank as well as the voluntary funds deployed in the bank's branches.
For 26 years, JIB has been offering cash prizes to the winners of the International Hashemite Competition for memorizing the Holy Quran and reciting it for the 13th year of male and female students under the patronage of Royal Charity and organized by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.
The Bank continued to participate in the Ramadan campaign launched by the Directorate of Public Security / Central Traffic Department annually during the holy month of Ramadan by providing dates and water to drivers on the roads before Magrib Prayer in Amman and all the governorates of the Kingdom through the policemen of traffic department located in the main roads and streets to raise traffic awareness .
As for the most prominent Iftar and Suhoor ceremonies the bank supported this year were supporting the Iftar ceremony of zakat Fund in cooperation with the Charity Endowment at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs for about 300 orphaned children and their families, in celebration of Orphan Day in the Islamic World, which falls on the fifteenth of Ramadan. The Bank supported the charitable event for the care of the elderly organized by the White Beds Association, and supporting the Suhoor charity ceremony for the Jerusalem Protection Society, whose proceeds go to renovate the houses that fall in the Old City of Jerusalem, it also provided support for a charity Iftar for cancer patients and their families, which was organized by the Cancer Society, and contributed to the support of the charity Iftar for orphans organized by the Jordan Foundation for Social Development, and sponsoring a banquet for orphaned children organized by the Faculty of Sharia at the University of Jordan and support the Ramadan evening for the Jordanian Teachers Association Mafraq Branch, and sponsoring the day of the teacher organized by the Jordanian Teachers Association Ajloun branch to honor the orphaned children of teachers.
In the educational aspect, the bank continued to sponsor the religious radio competition for the sixth year in a row through the public security radio AMN FM and several Ramadan religious programs broadcast on the radio, Iqra’a, Jordanian Radio and TV In addition, awareness-raising sermons about the virtues of Ramadan fasting were broadcast on Jordanian TV, and sponsoring the educational religious page in Al-Rai newspaper during the month of Ramadan
In order to maintain contact with employees at various administrative levels and on various occasions and during the holy month of Ramadan, the Bank has annually held an annual Iftar ceremony for all its employees in the head office and all its 104 branches and offices throughout the Kingdom.
