In continuation of Jordan Islamic Bank's support for Tkiyet Um Ali's annual programs throughout the year and in a way that achieves the goals of sustainable development, by providing food support to the most needy families, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan, in addition, a number of the bank's employees volunteered to distribute monthly food parcels provided by the bank to families benefiting from Tkiyet Um Ali's programs in the capital Amman/ Al Hayat Irada Charity Association, in order to meet the needs of these families of basic foodstuffs during the holy month of Ramadan within the sustainable food support program and as a commitment from the employees to contribute to community work.
Dr. Hussein Said, CEO/General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, said, "The support and participation of our bank in the activities of Tkiyet Um Ali comes within its strategy to perform its national duty towards the various groups of the local community, especially the less fortunate groups, and an affirmation of our bank's assumption of its social responsibilities in applying the approach of social solidarity. Through its constant keenness to provide support and contribute to the activities of charitable institutions and bodies that target various aspects of charitable and voluntary work, including Tkiyet Um Ali, whose programs are characterized by showing images of solidarity and compassion in our Jordanian society, as well as encouraging our employees to participate in social activities and volunteer work.
For his part, General Manager of Tkiyet Um Ali, Samer Balkar, thanked Jordan Islamic Bank for their support for Tkiyet Um Ali's programs, saying: "We are proud of our partnership with Jordan Islamic Bank for its continuous support for sustainable food support programs from Tkiyet Um Ali, which stems from their belief in the importance of their role towards their community, which contributes to achieving the vision of Tkiyet Um Ali is about reaching a hunger-free Jordan.
Tkiyet Um Ali is currently delivering sustainable food support to 20,000 thousand needy families living below the food poverty line in all governorates of the Kingdom, by delivering monthly and year-round food parcels to these families, and each food parcel contains 19 foodstuffs that meet the family’s food needs throughout the year of the month.
