JIB is a Golden Sponsor of Cyber Security Forum

Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) has provided the golden sponsorship for Union of Arab Banks (UAB) Forum titled : “Cyber Security” in cooperation with the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) and Association of Banks in Jordan (ABJ) under the patronage of H.E Dr. Ziad Fariz , Governor of CBJ with wide participation of bankers and Arab organizations specialized in communication technology and information security during the period 6-7/2/2018 in Fairmont Hotel in addition to the Bank’s sponsorship of the gala dinner in an honor of the participants in the forum on 6/2/2018. Mr. Musa Shihadeh, CEO- General Manager of JIB asserted the bank’s interest in sponsoring the forum and participating in it in a continuation to support activities of UAB and assume the bank’s social responsibility by contributing to support different events including local and foreign forums that are interested in supporting Arab and national economy. Mr. Shihadeh commended the efforts exerted by UAB , CBJ and ABG to hold this forum which has been organized  under information revolution and wide spread of modern  communication means and electronic exchange systems which financial and banking institutions rely on to tackle all commercial and banking transactions which has led to an increase of the frequency of cybercrime and fraud. However, this requires discussing the procedures that should be taken to protect banks and financial institutions against breaches and maintain information security. Sheikh Mohammad AL Sabah, Chairman of UAB handed Dr. Hussein Said , Deputy General of  JIB an honorary shield in appreciation of the bank’s sponsoring and supporting the forum .
