Jordan Islamic Bank signed a cooperation agreement with the World Islamic Sciences and Education University, according to which Issuance of a student's Card and Replacement of existing cards, allowing university employees and students to benefit from the banking services provided by the bank, such as withdrawing through ATMs and/or purchasing from points of sale and various websites.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Hussein Said, CEO/General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, and by Prof. Dr. Jaafar Al-Fanatsa, President of the World Islamic Sciences University, at the World Islamic Sciences University building on 7/5/2023.
Dr. Hussein Said said, "This agreement is an affirmation of our bank's strategy to achieve financial inclusion and digital banking and to provide our services to various segments of society, including university youth, by strengthening the partnership between our bank and higher education institutions, and our bank's fulfillment of its social responsibilities in supporting the scientific and educational field,"praising the strategic partnership linking the bank to the World Islamic Sciences and Education University, with the presence of a bank office on campus that provides banking services to university students and members of the faculty and administrative staff, and the provision of services (Islami Mobile, Islami Internet, and Islami ATM) in addition to the continuous channels of communication (Islami Messenger), (direct call center) and (the bank’s pages on various social media).
For his part, the President of the World Islamic Sciences and Education University, Prof. Dr. Jaafar Mahmoud Al-Fanatsa, expressed his pride in the sustainable cooperation with Jordan Islamic Bank since the establishment of the university, which culminated in this agreement, which will allow the employees and students of the university to benefit from the services of Jordan Islamic Bank that are compatible with the provisions and principles of Islamic sharia, Stressing the university's keenness on the interest of its students and providing them with the best in order to achieve the university's strategy by keeping abreast of the latest developments and developments that facilitate university life for them and provide them with everything that is useful.
This smart card, which has a contactless feature, is multi-characteristic, as it is an identifying identity that enables its holder to enter through the university’s gates and its various facilities. It also allows its holder the ability to withdraw cash from Jordan Islamic Bank's 319 ATMs spread throughout the Kingdom., as well as the ATMs of other local banks. In addition to the possibility of purchasing and paying through points of sale and websites, and the card is charged through the bank's electronic channels or its 111 branches and offices.
