JIB holds a luncheon for relatives of cornea donors

Under the patronage of HRH Prince Raad Bin Zaid, Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) held honoring luncheon of relatives of cornea donors and distribute appreciation certificates to them in cooperation with Jordan Eye Bank Friends society and Prevention of Blindness and Jordan Eye Bank In the presence of Dr. Mohammed Al-Khalayleh Mufti of the Kingdom and Dr. Ghazi Munwar Al-Zubin, Minister of Health and a group of former ministers. Prince Raad and Musa Shihadeh General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, exchanged souvenirs on this occasion at the Jabri Central Restaurant on Saturday, 1/12/2018. HRH Prince Raad expressed his pride in Jordan Islamic Bank under the management of Musa Shihadeh for the continuity to sponsor the annual honoring ceremony for relatives of cornea donors in order to enhance the role of JIB in the service of the community members and donors who presented the best examples of solidarity. On this occasion, Musa Shihadeh stressed the importance of solidarity among the different sectors of Jordanian society, individuals and institutions of civil society and official and voluntary bodies. For the past nine years, the bank has supported honoring ceremony of cornea donors as a culmination of the social responsibility of the bank. This ceremony is one of the Bank's most important activities in the social field in parallel with its economic and development activities, emphasizing the continued presence of the Bank in various activities aimed at supporting the various segments of society. His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Khalayleh, Mufti of the Kingdom and Dr. Muawiya Al-Badoor, Director General of Jordan Eye Bank, thanked and appreciated the distinguished efforts exerted by Jordan Islamic Bank to serve the community members and supporting the charitable activities, including the continuation of holding this honoring ceremony and supporting the efforts of the Jordan Eye Bank. The relatives of cornea donors delivered speeches during the ceremony and reviewed the experience of each of them in donating and benefiting from donated corneas. They also thanked Prince Raad bin Zaid, Jordan Islamic Bank, the Jordanian Eye Bank and the Friends Society for holding this ceremony.
