Under the patronage of Mr. Musa Shihadeh , CEO, General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank ( JIB ) , a reception was held on the occasion of opening the 22nd office in Thiban area , Madaba governorate on 7/9/2016 with the presence of dignitaries and officials of Thiban district and Madaba governorate , a number of the bank’s clients, residents and dealers of the area.
Musa Shihadeh said by opening Thiban office which commenced its operations on 28/8/2016, our bank has currently 95 branches and offices distributed in all parts of the kingdom. Opening this office aims to deliver Islamic banking services to the biggest number of clients in order for our bank to be the first Islamic bank in the area in addition to another branch and office within Madaba governorate in consistence with the bank’s policy in saving time and effort for the residents of Thiban district and its subsidiary areas (Thiban town , Malih , Alareed) in addition to the distinguished location of the district which is marked by the commercial and agricultural activities to reduce the load on our branch in Madaba.
Opening Thiban office coincides with the temporary closing of Madaba branch ( Petra Street ) as of 4/9/2016 for maintenance purposes and updating the building , and accordingly the banking services will be transferred to Madaba office opposite to the electric power company till finalizing the maintenance procedures in the main branch, taking into account that all ATMs in Madaba branch will continue to operate during the maintenance period , in addition to the ATMS network of the bank distributed in all branches and offices whose number has reached 181 ATMs, and electronic banking services provided by the bank via internet and SMS.
Shihadeh asserted on the continuation to apply the geographic expansion for 2016 by opening new branches and offices or converting offices to branches in most governorates of the area and it was started by opening an office in Wasfi Altal street (Gardens Street ) and it will be complemented by opening branches and offices in City Centre/ Irbid , Abeen & Ibleen /Ajloun, Jubaiha / Amman , ShafaBadran / Amman , Ein Albasha / Balqa, Alhasa/ Tafila.
