Musa Shihadeh Wins Global Islamic Finance 2018 Award

Mr. Musa Shihadeh, General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) was awarded Islamic Finance Personality of the year 2018 at the 8th Global Islamic Finance Awards for his outstanding leadership role in Islamic banking. However, Dr. Hussein Said, Deputy General Manager received the award on behalf of Mr. Shihadeh during a ceremony held under the patronage of the Chairman of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, His Excellency Bakir Izetbegović. The award ceremony attended by government leaders, senior officials and Islamic banking leaders around the world in Sarajevo on September 29, 2018. Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Shihadeh said, “I’m very pleased s to receive this award, which is an addition to the achievements of Jordan Islamic bank, the largest Islamic bank in Jordan under my leadership. However, the Bank has been able to achieve a leading position and good reputation at the regional and international levels while maintaining the soundness of its banking strategies and policies based on the provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia, which leads to insisting on making more efforts to achieve many accomplishments to keep Jordan Islamic Bank at the forefront always”.   GIFA, which is an annual event launched since 2011, is one of the most important international awards in the Islamic financial industry, and is awarded to outstanding institutions and individuals in this field.
