JIB supports the Conference “ Jerusalem in Modern World Literature”

Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) participated in supporting the conference “ Jerusalem in Modern World Literature” organized by the Faculty of Foreign Languages / University of Jordan in cooperation with Turkish  Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA). On behalf of HRH Prince Hasan Bin Talal, H.E Dr. Adnan Badran ,Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Jordan launched the conference in the presence of H.E Dr. Wael Arabyat , the Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs with participation of many Arab and Foreign universities and elites of specialists and academics. On this occasion, Mr. Musa Shihadeh, CEO , General Manager of JIB said sponsoring this conference aims at activating the sustainable partnership between JIB and University of Jordan and the Bank’s constant endeavor to enhance its presence in different activities which highlight the role of JIB in assuming social responsibilities through supporting many academic, cultural and literary activities which are in compliance with the bank’s approach. Dr. Azmi Mahaftha , President of the University of Jordan and Dr. Mohammad Shara’a, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages expressed their gratitude to Jordan Islamic Bank for its donation as a primary supporter of the conference , its distinguished status in supporting the national economy and educational development , and the constant supporter of the university’s activities. However, H.E Dr. Adnan Badran handed JIB an honorary shield during the launch of the conference on 21/3/2017 in appreciation of supporting the event which will continue for two days and aims at uncovering the various treatments of the city of Jerusalem in the world literature and culture and highlighting the holy city in literary and cultural studies .
