In implementation of the Jordan Islamic Bank’s plan to spread geographically by dispensing with rented buildings and replacing them with buildings owned by the bank, the bank branch in Karak Governorate / Mu'tah was moved from its current leased location, located in the al mazar al janobi / Mu'tah, University Street opposite the Shuhada Mosque, to a building owned by the bank in the same university street next to Orange company exhibition, on 10/11/2020.
Dr. Hussein Said, CEO / General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, said that: the transfer of our branch in Mu'tah to a new building owned by the bank with a modern design commensurate with the identity of the bank and keeps pace with the latest modern developments to provide the best banking and investment services that compatible with the principles of Islamic Sharia law, and it strengthens the assets of our bank and its presence in the four southern governorates (Karak, Tafila, Maan and Aqaba) through 14 branches and offices, and in Karak governorate with six branches and offices (Karak, Mutah, Al-Thanya, Al-Qasr, Al-Marj and Al-Hussainiya offices) from the total of our 108 branches and offices. Branches and offices spread throughout the Kingdom. This is due to the privileged position of Karak Governorate in economic, commercial and tourism activity, and the first branch of the bank was opened within the Karak governorate in 1985.
Dr. Hussein Said stated that the bank is continuing to implement the plan of expansion and geographical spread during the current year by opening new branches and offices, converting offices to branches or moving them to new sites owned by the bank, in parallel with the expansion in providing digital services such as mobile banking and I-Banking services, and expansion in banking services through ATMs, which reached 264 ATM , and the provision of SMS service, so that our bank's customers can get the best services with ease.
