Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB) continued to support and sponsor many social and cultural events and programs that continued throughout the holy month of Ramadan in order to enhance the social role of the Bank.
Dr. Hussein Saeed, Chief Executive Officer/ General Manager of JIB, said: “Jordan Islamic Bank is a major and active participant in the various official and popular activities and events that take place during the holy month of Ramadan, in addition to other social activities carried out throughout the year. As well as its economic responsibilities, which aim to achieve the principle of social solidarity and sustainable development.
The bank provided support and sponsorship to a number of charitable Iftar banquets organized by a number of charities and voluntary organizations, including sponsoring the charity's Iftar organized by the Faculty of Sharia at the University of Jordan and contributing to the support of the charitable Iftar ceremony held by Jordan Foundation for Development for about 200 orphans and 600 workers.
In order to ensure the management's keenness to maintain contact with its employees, the Bank has always held Ramadan banquets for all its employees in the head office and all 107 branches and offices throughout the Kingdom.
Dr. Hussein Said indicated that in order to promote sustainable cooperation between the Bank, civil society organizations, associations and charitable and voluntary organizations, the Bank has contributed to the activities of Takiya Um Ali and the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization to provide breakfasts to fasting people and distribute food parcels to the poorest families, orphans and the needy. In the educational aspect, Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans has been provided with the cost of teaching ten students for a period of four years beginning in 2019. In the health field, support was provided to Sanabel Health Care Association in support of the activities of the Autism Center in Ain Al-Basha. At the cultural level, the Bank aims to raise the cultural level of the community by supporting various cultural activities that contribute to filling the youth's leisure time and strengthening the link between the members of the community by continuing to sponsor the religious radio competition through Public Security Radio, which is broadcast on the radio station. In addition to the support of intellectual and cultural seminars organized by the Moderation Forum for Thought and Culture.
