Based on Jordan Islamic Bank’s contribution to the celebration of the centenary of the state of Jordan, the Bank sponsored the International Conference of the Hashemite University “Jordan's Image in the World in a Hundred Years” in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II’s delegate, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Wajih Owais and with the participation of about 60 researchers and specialists in political, academic and intellectual issues, decision-makers, journalists, directors of study centers, in addition to specialists in Jordanian, Arab and Middle Eastern affairs from several Arab and foreign countries.
CEO/General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, Dr. Hussein Said, expressed his happiness with the bank’s participation in the celebration marking the centenary of the founding of the Jordanian state, highlighting its image in the world and its achievements on various economic, social, educational levels, etc., praising the efforts of the Hashemite University to hold this conference. Giving the bank the opportunity to demonstrate its role in assuming its social and economic responsibilities by being present in various targeted meetings as a key partner with various official efforts to contribute to moving the wheel of national economic development in its various tracks.
Prof. Dr. Fawaz Al-Zubeen, President of the Hashemite University and President of the Conference presented an honorary shield to Jordan Islamic Bank, praising the generous support provided by the Bank for the success of the conference, considering the Bank as one of the national institutions that are well known and for its prominent role in supporting important activities in Jordan.
The conference, which was held during the period 2-4/11/2021, dealt with topics about the march of the Jordanian state, the kings of the Hashemite family, the image created by Jordan and its Hashemite leaders throughout the world, the Arab national role of Jordan, coexistence, education, health, economy and investment, the democratic experience, and the image of war and peace, the image of Jordan as a destination for Arab asylum, in the face of extremism and terrorism, the Jordanian relationship with international organizations, the image of Jordan in the Arab and international press, and in Arab and international literature, in addition to discussing the future image of Jordan.
