Honoring JIB for its strategic sponsorship of the Awqaf Development Conference

His Excellency Dr. Abdul Nasser Abu Al-Basal, Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, handed Mr. Musa Shihadeh, a special shield in recognition of the Bank's strategic sponsorship of the Awqaf Development Conference entitled "Endowment for Sustainable Development" during the opening of the conference, which was organized by the Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places in cooperation with the Islamic Cooperation Organization and the University of Jordan , Faculty of Sharia and was held under the patronage of the Prime Minister and attended by His Excellency the Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places ,In the presence and participation of a number of ministers, Chief Justice , academics , researchers and specialists, during the period 17-19 / 7/2018 at the Grand Hyatt Amman. On this occasion, Mr. Musa Shihadeh, General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank, said that the Bank's support and participation in the Awqaf Development Conference is out of the JIB’s constant endeavor to be present in meetings that open new horizons for economic and investment cooperation and enhance its social responsibilities through strengthening partnerships that contribute to sustainable development, and provide the opportunity to interact and communicate with those with expertise and competence in economic and investment fields, especially in the field of Waqf and its importance in supporting educational, health, media, tourism and religious development. He stressed how much pleased he is with the joint partnership between JIB, the Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Islamic Cooperation Organization, and the ongoing efforts to promote economic and social integration workshops to achieve sustainable development, economic growth and social welfare. The participation of the bank was headed by Mr. Musa Shihadeh for one of the main sessions dealing with endowment funds. Dr. Ali Abu Al-Ezz, Director of the Internal Sharia Audit Department participated in one of the sessions dealing with contemporary forms in the development Waqf projects, in addition to the attendance and participation of a group of employees of the bank at various sessions of the conference. The bank has set up a special booth at the conference where it distributed to the participants and the attendees sharia fatwas, specialized banking and Shari'a books, and informative bulletins to the Bank's products and services that comply with Islamic Shari’a principles. His Excellency Dr. Abdul Nasser Abu Al Basal, Minister of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, thanked the participating and supporting parties and praised the position of JIB and its investment and development strategy through carrying out its social and economic responsibilities. In his speech at the first session of the conference, H.E the Minister of Education, Dr. Azmi Mahaftha commended JIB’s  contribution to Jordanian education Endowment of 100,000 Jordanian Dinars. The conference included various workshops that discussed the issue of endowments from an investment developmental perspective to raise awareness of the importance of developmental endowments and their impact on community development and contribute to the establishment of funds and endowment projects  attract the investors to invest in the endowment sector.
