Mr. Musa Shihadeh, General Manager of Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB), received a special shield from Prof. Salman Al-Badour, President of the World Islamic Sciences University for sponsoring and supporting the activities of the First International Scientific Conference titled "Scientific Research and the Digital Revolution Challenges of Originality and Contemporary" organized by the Deanship of Scientific Research at the University of World Islamic Sciences. The conference was held under the auspices of the Prime Minister's Representative, HE Dr. Abdul Nasser Abu Al-Basal, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, and with the participation of His Eminence Sheikh Abdul Karim Al-Khasawneh, Director General of the General Fatwa Department, Dr. Mohammed Al-Khalayleh and a number of academics, researchers and specialists from many Arab During the period 2-3/9/2018 at the Jordanian Armed Forces Hotel / Tabarbour. Musa Shihadeh delivered a speech at the opening of the conference, in which he commended the efforts of the University of Islamic Sciences to hold this conference to shed light on the subject of scientific research and the challenges it is witnessing in light of the digital revolution and its latest developments in the field of Islamic banking and Islamic finance through the review of distinctive models of the role of digital technology in the success of the services of Islamic banks and the strengthening of the Islamic economy, especially with the advent of digital technology, where Islamic banks tended to take advantage of this technology to keep up with the development and increase their competitiveness . However, Jordan Islamic Bank seeks to keep abreast of technological developments by providing modern banking and financing services that fit the digital environment and meet the needs of the Bank's customers. Shihadeh pointed out that the importance of JIB’s supporting and participation in the conference is an affirmation of the bank's responsibility for its social responsibilities through participation in conferences and seminars related to its fields of work or what helps it to develop the work of Islamic banks. The first session of the conference was chaired by Mr. Musa Shihadeh and discussed the role of Sharia Supervisory in the activation of electronic banking services and the contribution of the digital economy to the development of Islamic banking and the overall quality and its impact on improving the Islamic banking environment in light of the digital revolution and technical progress. . Dr. Hanaa Al-Hunaiti, Dean of the Faculty of Scientific Research at the University of Islamic Sciences, thanked JIB for its support and sponsorship of this conference. She expressed her pride in the joint and sustainable cooperation between the University and the Bank to support the scientific, research and academic progress.
