Group of students from University of Jordan (JU) / Aqaba branch – Faculty of Administration and Financing – Accounting department visited Jordan Islamic Bank’s Aqaba branch to be familiar with the operations of the bank , its role in supporting national economy ,development of local community and mechanisms of financings provided in compliance with provisions and principles of Islamic Sharia in addition to its efforts in the development of Aqaba governorate. However, Dr. Mohammad Fahmi AlJabari, the chairman of internal audit department of JIB provided a detailed explanation about the bank at the training academy hall , Aqaba on 29/3/2017.
This scientific visit comes within the students’ visits to Jordan Islamic Bank out of the bank’s assuming its social responsibilities in supporting educational process and presenting the financial culture for students and let them be acquainted with the bank’s pioneer experience in Islamic banking business, where the bank ensured training opportunities for students from different educational institutions. Since its incorporation, JIB trained nearly 17060 students from different educational institutions and made a room for employees from non – Jordanian banks to be familiar with its operations through offering them Islamic banking training in the branches and departments of the head office of the bank.
Dr. Raed Bani Yasin, Dean of the faculty of administration and financing / University of Jordan – Aqaba and Dr. Rania AlOmari, Head of the accounting department extended their thanks to JIB’s management for its continuous cooperation with the university and supporting its academic process and consolidating the practical application in addition to the theoretic aspect and giving the students the opportunity to be familiar with the operations of JIB. Brochures were distributed to students who were given answers to their questions related to Islamic banking.
